About your consultant

What is Self-Knowledge Consultation?

SELF-KNOWLEDGE CONSULTATION IS NOT PSYCHOTHERAPY. It does not diagnose or offer treatment for mental illness and behavioral disorders. Self-Knowledge Consultation is an unlicensed hybrid approach to self-mastery. It melds emotional exploration and self-reflection with the pragmatic social and business mentorship found in a life coach. Consultation serves to address both the “why” questions of a client’s past and the “how” questions of their current goals with attention to moral boundaries and ethical principles. The combination of emotional understanding, coach guidance, and rational philosophy create a powerful, effective, and accelerated method for men, women, and couples to prevail over adversity.

As a Self-Knowledge Consultant I am not required to adhere to mandatory reporting laws. However, clients benefit from my adherence to strict privacy rules, optional non-disclosure agreements and communication encryption. I model a high degree of responsibility and hold myself accountable to clients. I am able to serve the people with whom I choose to work. I am not compelled to take on all clients nor am I compelled to give a standardized, “approved” opinion of any topic. My clients appreciate the freedom of unrestrained feedback and complete answers to life’s biggest questions.

Philosophy

“Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom.” -Aristotle

I promote self-knowledge foremost. I believe the restoration of Christian morals, traditional gender roles, and time-honored family values inspire peace and wholesomeness in life. The exploration of your closest held beliefs about yourself and the world, with the help of an enlightened witness, can change your life in unimaginable ways. Ultimately, a fulfilling and happy life is found in deep self-knowledge, healthy boundaries, and improving your competence and dedication to meeting your goals.

Background

I have 12 years of experience in the field of peer counseling and therapy with another 10 years in law enforcement. My coaching journey began when I sought guidance through talk therapy which grew into a series of mentorships and close working relationships with accomplished practitioners including licensed psychotherapists and two PhDs in psychology. Their masterful grasp of the human condition, long years of practice, and generosity with sharing their knowledge shaped my talents.

While refining my skills, I co-founded a peer counseling program for active-duty law enforcement that continues to serve them today. The four years I spent developing that team gave me the opportunity to attend a variety of trainings in advanced counseling practice. My work in the field continued for six years as a Suicide Prevention Counselor which added active crisis negotiation knowledge to my skillset. I’ve held positions as a Sexual Assault Survivor Advocate as well as a leadership role in a Crisis Management Team for large festivals. My ability to serve my clients has been enriched through advanced formal education in critical thinking, logic, and rational philosophy.

In 2014 I attended state university with the goal of earning a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. After a few years I became disenfranchised by the extreme politicization of the field against traditional conservative values and anti-White ideology. In 2017 I formally quit the Bachelors program and began my private unlicensed consultation service. This choice led to more difficulty in developing a coaching practice but blessed me with the freedom to work in alignment with my conscience and to choose with whom I want to work. After four years of successful work with wonderful clients from a variety of backgrounds, I can confidently say I made the right choice. While I have a knack for helping others, my personal life also definitely informs my practice and approach with my clients. I am a strong Christian, a husband, and a father.

I welcome questions from potential clients and am happy to further explain any of the areas described above.

approach

My approach is eclectic but simple. It was formed over a decade working in many roles related to psychology and draws on extensive education, specialized trainings, and self-led study. At the core is rational philosophy and the Socratic Method. We will focus on the truth of your history and current situation, work to form logical and practical conclusions, and cultivate rational insights to help you navigate life more effectively. We will solve problems as a team.

Paired with those sober aspects, I offer dream interpretation, existential awareness and good old-fashioned, hard-won wisdom. I strive to grow my knowledge base daily to bring useful alternatives and insights to my clientele.
